USC Challenge

Each year Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society hosts the USC Challenge, a competition for South Carolina High School academic teams. The Challenge is the largest service project of the year for Alpha Lambda Delta and all of the members spend the fall semester planning for the event, which falls on the first Saturday of December each year. Faculty and staff from the University of South Carolina help to moderate the competition and Alpha Lambda Delta members volunteer to make sure the event runs smoothly. The USC Challenge is a one day competition involving 6 morning rounds of questions and then there are single elimination rounds in the afternoon. There is a winner from each level of high schools from A to AAAA as well as individual winners and overall first, second and third place winners. The winners are awarded trophies at the conclusion of the event.

The 19th annual USC Challenge will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009.
